Position Overview

A prominent food production company is in search of a skilled Sanitation Manager to lead the procurement of essential maintenance, repair, and operational supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to both internal and external sanitation personnel, establishing safety and performance benchmarks.
  • Oversee the execution of corporate sanitation protocols and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation procedures and monitor performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials utilized and test outcomes in sanitation logs, allergen documentation, and the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
  • Review sanitation logs and records on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Conduct regular meetings to discuss sanitation initiatives and departmental activities.
  • Address and resolve internal and external complaints regarding sanitation practices.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to address equipment issues affecting sanitation processes.
  • Propose enhancements to working conditions and equipment usage to boost crew efficiency.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies while ensuring adherence to GFSI (SQF), OFSS, cGMP, and safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates through various means.
  • Work alongside chemical suppliers to facilitate employee training on SSOP and MSS.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for new sanitation staff.
  • Engage in Food Safety Audit Teams and other safety initiatives.
  • Complete tasks outlined by Food Safety and External Audit systems.
  • Participate in external audits as required.
  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance, repair, and installation tasks for machinery and equipment.
Qualifications

A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the food industry and/or sanitation is required, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
