Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Prisma Access team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and deliver next-generation technologies that provide protection straight from the cloud. Our team works on all aspects of the management and control plane of the service, including activation, onboarding, configuration, orchestration, data, APIs, and more.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement highly scalable software features
  • Participate in architecture, design, and development of App Security features
  • Research and implement different frameworks suited to the solution
  • Work with different development and quality assurance groups to achieve the best quality
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the development processes
  • Work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in system software development
  • Extensive hands-on programming skills in Python, Go, Java/JavaScript
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and their technologies (Lambda functions, SNS/SQS, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL, Time series, GraphDB, etc.)
  • Experience building RESTful API services
  • Strong leadership skills with a can-do attitude
  • High energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fast learner and eager to absorb new emerging technologies
  • Understanding of networking and security protocols (HTTP, TLS/SSL, etc.)
  • Good grasp of asynchronous programming, multithreading, and multiprocessing
  • Able to troubleshoot system-level integration and performance issues
  • MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent military experience required
