Culinary Specialist

Job Summary

Culinary Specialists at Aramark are responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food to our guests. We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for cooking and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will have prior experience as a cook or in a related role, with validated knowledge of basic food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations. They will also be able to acquire food safety certification and demonstrate basic math and counting skills.

Key Responsibilities

? Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment
? Prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
? Safely use a range of utensils, including knives, and operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
? Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
? Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
? Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
? Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and colleagues
? Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation

Requirements

? Experience as a cook or in a related role required
? Validated knowledge of basic food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
? Ability to acquire food safety certification
? Basic math and counting skills
? Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

The estimated salary for this position is $$40,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
