Shift Leader Job Summary

As a Shift Leader at Dunkin', you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our restaurant by coaching and guiding our Crew Members to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to lead by example, setting goals and providing job assignments to motivate your team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in a Team Environment: Foster a respectful and collaborative team culture, promoting open communication and a positive work environment.
  • Support a Respectful Team Environment: Encourage and maintain a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity among team members.
  • Communicate Shift Priorities, Goals, and Results: Clearly communicate shift objectives, goals, and results to team members, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards a common purpose.
  • Support the Training of Crew Members: Provide guidance and support to Crew Members as needed, helping them develop the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
  • Provide Coaching and Feedback: Offer constructive feedback and coaching to Crew Members, helping them improve their performance and achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain Operational Excellence: Ensure that all operational standards, recipes, and systems are executed consistently, maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Drive Profitability: Work closely with the management team to drive sales growth, manage labor costs, and maintain a healthy profit margin.
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  • Restaurant, Retail, or Supervisory Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant, retail, or supervisory role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Math and Writing Skills: Basic math skills, with the ability to manage cash, inventory, and other financial tasks. Strong writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates with a higher level of education.
