Job Summary

We are seeking a Heavy Housekeeper/Floor Tech to join our team. As a key member of our environmental services team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of hard surfaces and carpets in our facilities. This includes dusting and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting. You will also be responsible for collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linen and ensuring proper disposal.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of hard surfaces and carpets in our facilities
  • Dust and wet mop floors, strip, wax, buff, shampoo, extract, and bonnet as needed
  • Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and soiled linen
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Report equipment and cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
  • Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
  • Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products
  • Must live in the service area
