Genesis10 is actively seeking an Infrastructure Facilities Specialist for our client in the consumer finance sector.
This role is a contract position requiring onsite presence throughout the workweek.

Overview:
  • The Infrastructure Facilities Specialist is tasked with overseeing all essential systems that support data centers, including Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS), Cooling CRAC units, fire suppression systems, leak detection, and critical systems monitoring platforms.
  • Responsibilities include vendor identification, onboarding, scheduling, and oversight of maintenance activities, along with incident management and root cause analysis for system failures.
  • Project management skills are essential for managing end-of-life replacement initiatives.
  • The role requires the development and support of emergency, standard, and maintenance operational procedures, as well as training for backup personnel across various sites.
  • Familiarity with on-prem Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solutions is necessary to maintain critical infrastructure services.
  • A comprehensive understanding of infrastructure alarms, thresholds, and power calculations is crucial for success in this position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a consultative approach are needed to mediate differing viewpoints and foster cross-team collaboration.
  • Candidates should possess extensive knowledge of critical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, HVAC, and fire systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor equipment alarms.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance for on-site infrastructure with vendor support.
  • Manage repairs, corrective maintenance, and installation projects.
  • Schedule vendor services as per manufacturer recommendations.
  • Develop and manage operational procedures and training for backup personnel.
  • Respond to on-site incidents and escalate as necessary.
  • Manage all changes through the established change management process.
  • Investigate service requests related to HVAC, Generators, ATS, UPS, and fire suppression systems.
  • Act as the owner's representative for infrastructure projects and construction.
  • Provide 24/7 operational support, including flexibility for emergency responses.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and ethical company policies.
  • Drive critical systems processes within the Facilities organization.
  • Review and develop operational procedures.
  • Ensure timely implementation of maintenance and repair projects.
  • Provide technical support to remote centers and facilities staff.
  • Address facility issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Facility Operations and management within the data center industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in presentation and proposal design.
  • In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including UPS, Generators, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong supervisory skills are essential.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing manual tasks.
  • Experience with vendor management processes.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple organizations to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist in coordinating maintenance and refresh activities related to critical systems.
