Position Title: Catering Banquet Server/Waiter

Hourly Compensation: $17-18 per hour

Overview:

We are in search of committed and skilled Catering Banquet Servers/Waiters to enhance our operations in Montebello. In this role, you will be instrumental in the seamless execution of various events, such as weddings, corporate functions, galas, and other significant celebrations. Your key duty will be to deliver outstanding customer service by efficiently and courteously serving food and beverages to guests in a banquet environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare banquet tables and buffets in accordance with event requirements.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival, guide them to their tables, and present menus.
  • Accurately and promptly take food and beverage orders.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all dishes are presented appealingly and meet established standards.
  • Anticipate and monitor guest needs to guarantee satisfaction and address any concerns swiftly.
  • Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in banquet areas during and after events.
  • Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and catering staff to ensure the successful execution of events.
  • Assist with event setup and teardown as necessary, including moving furniture and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a banquet server/waiter in a catering or hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Capability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedules.
  • Physical endurance to stand and walk for extended periods and lift/carry heavy trays.
  • Familiarity with basic food and beverage service techniques.
  • Food handler's certification is preferred but not mandatory.
