Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

OrthoCincy is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiological and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Protect patients, yourself, and other staff from radiation hazards, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Read patients' charts and relay physician orders to other staff members, maintaining accurate and timely communication.
  • Maintain all radiographic files completely and accurately, ensuring seamless record-keeping.
  • Comply with safety standards, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations, upholding the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
  • Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs and ordering necessary supplies.
  • Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform all imaging exams according to provider protocols, adhering to established guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or in the best interest of the practice, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements:
  • Certified as a medical radiologic technologist as required by the state.
  • Associates degree in Radiological Technology from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred.
Performance Requirements:
  • Knowledge of radiology procedures and protocols, anatomy and physiology necessary to perform radiology testing, and radiology equipment safety hazards.
  • Ability to lift and position patients for the type of x-ray procedure required, notice detail in radiological images, and apply written instructions and standardized work practices.
  • Ability to evaluate images and make technical changes as needed, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
