Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Synapse International. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for implementing high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities in accordance with the principles and practices of physical therapy and with our company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, treat, and direct skilled treatment for patients who require physical therapy services.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing documentation of patient progress, including goals, progress toward functional goals, and medical necessity.
  • Complete all required documentation, including pre-certifications, physician reports, daily notes, charge tickets, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors.
  • Attend and participate in facility meetings as directed by the Center Manager.
  • Complete ongoing continuing education coursework to meet state licensure requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a physical therapist education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or a substantially equivalent education.
  • State licensure/registration where applicable.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, with leadership skills sufficient to direct and supervise the activities of assistants and aides.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Effective clinical problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and prioritize issues, develop and execute sound action plans, and ensure appropriate results.
  • Strong communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized oral and written presentations of information.
  • Computer skills for effective clinical documentation and management reporting.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during the workday.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
