Cost Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance professional to join our team at SGL Carbon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and analyzing financial data. This includes standard cost calculations and month-end closing & budget activities, with a focus on variance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Analyze financial data and perform standard cost calculations.
  • Coordinate the annual budget process and own the standard costs calculation and analysis.
  • Organize local inventory control / auditing procedures and conduct inventory cycle counts.
  • Prepare variance analysis and financial reports in accordance with legal regulations and company deadlines & guidelines.
  • Support capital investment requests or business case calculations by providing financial analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial accounting / analysis, preferably in industrial / manufacturing environments.
  • Required proficiency in Excel and SAP.
  • Knowledge of IAS / GAAP and cost accounting standards.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience in driving process improvement.
