School Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated School Counselor to join our team at Woodhill Elementary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers to promote academic, career, and personal/social development.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the needs of all students.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to students, including assessment and diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.
• Interpret achievement and aptitude test data to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Develop and maintain records and reports to track student progress and program effectiveness.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices and research-based interventions.

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• North Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

The School Counselor will work in a fast-paced school environment, interacting with students, parents, and staff on a daily basis. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team setting and maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive student information.
