About the Role

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Macon, Georgia.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, utilizing your technical skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.

You will work closely with our team of radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and CT scans.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm their understanding.
  • Review diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness and communicate with radiologists as needed.
  • Enter patient and study information into the radiology information system and document billing codes.
  • Assist and communicate with radiologists, working independently outside the department as needed.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to other personnel, including student radiographers.
  • Identify and correct problems, reporting critical occurrences to the next level of authority.
  • Utilize supplies and equipment in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Maintain required continuing education and applicable certifications for modality.
Requirements
  • High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Registered or Registry Eligible through the ARRT.
