Position: Property Management Assistant within the Asset Management Division

Compensation: Hourly wage ranges from $17.64 to $21.69 ($36,695 to $45,130 annually). The starting wage for this role is set at $17.64 per hour.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


ROLE SUMMARY:

Under the general guidance of the Property Manager, this role is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to various AHA-owned and/or managed housing rental properties. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating tenant relations and property management tasks.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with eligibility requirements.
  • Managing maintenance requests and executing general office administrative duties.
  • Maintaining tenant files and associated documentation.
  • Performing additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable. A typical qualification path includes:

  • Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in property management, facilities management, or affordable housing programs.
  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid New Mexico driver's license upon appointment. Must maintain an insurable driving record as per Albuquerque Housing Authority standards.

Language Proficiency:

Required:

  • Proficiency in reading and writing English to comprehend and interpret written procedures and federal documents. This includes the ability to provide and receive instructions in both written and verbal formats, as well as effectively communicate with vendors, contractors, supervisors, co-workers, residents, and city/county agencies.

Preferred:

  • Bi-lingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are advantageous.
