Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join our team in the Bodily Injury (BI) unit. As a key member of our motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team, you will provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or the company in all aspects of litigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present legal pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs
  • Negotiate settlements and work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation
  • Analyze written discovery, depositions, medical records, and assess the value of claims to determine risk exposure
  • Work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel to an office for meetings and/or training
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Florida
  • Two years of general/auto civil litigation experience

  • Competitive salary: $130,135 - $153,100/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 40% of eligible earnings based on company performance
