Job Summary:

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Service Aide to join our team. As an Environmental Service Aide, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the facility.
  • Deliver linen and remove trash from assigned areas.
  • Sweep and mop patient rooms, and maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies.
  • Perform daily floor care procedures consistently.
  • Ensure equipment is kept clean and polished, and carts, tanks, and buckets are emptied and rinsed at shift end.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) strongly preferred.
  • Good communication and customer service skills required.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work various days, including alternating weekends and holidays.
  • Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers.
  • Exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and ability to deliver high-quality care based on a strong sense of patient focus.
