Key Responsibilities- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Participate in patient and family teaching, promoting health education and empowerment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes and improve overall care.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Direct, supervise, and evaluate nursing care provided to patients.
- Participate in the economical utilization of supplies and ensure equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
- Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patients.
- Participate actively in committees for the improvement of nursing care.
- A current PA RN nursing license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is necessary.
- Act 34 clearance is required.
- Experience in acute care nursing.
- Knowledge of anesthetic agents, narcotic analgesics, reversal drugs, and other drugs commonly utilized in Post Anesthesia Care.
- Awareness of complications related to surgical procedures/anesthesia and when to notify surgeon/anesthesia.
