We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Naugatuck, CT.

About the Job
  • This contract position involves working with preschool (3- and 4-year-olds), and 1st and 2nd graders in a small school district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs through comprehensive evaluations.
  • Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions to address identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop tailored education plans, present them to parents, school administrators, and relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on your caseload, providing valuable insights into their progress.
  • Provide regular reports of student progress to parents, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Organize your caseload and create a schedule for each assigned school, demonstrating efficiency and time management skills.
  • Design resource materials to support speech and language development, enhancing the educational experience for students.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Superior communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators.
  • Adept organizational skills, allowing you to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Connecticut Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
  • Professionalism and accountability, embodying the values of our organization.

Requirements:

  • Active Connecticut SLP license.
  • SLP certificate from the Department of Education.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects your value to our team.
