An LPN promotes the residents' health, wellness, and illness prevention through daily nursing and personal care endeavors.
Responsibilities:- Helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients.
- Works closely with others in a fast-paced, team environment under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
- Accountable for ensuring that competent care and safety are consistently delivered to all residents.
- Handles physician orders, administers medications, collects and maintains resident data, takes vitals, assists with resident comfort.
- Assure proper procedures are followed at all times.
- Communicate with residents and their families in an appropriate manner.
- Current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York required.
- Degree from an accredited school or nursing/nursing program is required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable.
- Strong customer service skills and compassion.
