Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced Development Professionals to join our team as Associate Director or Director of Development. The successful candidate will drive fundraising efforts, build strong relationships with donors and stakeholders, and play a key role in achieving our fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of major and planned gift donors, employing strategies and tactics in prospect and portfolio management.
  • Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit alumni and friends in support of unit and University priorities.
  • Meet or exceed annual performance metrics, including approximately 120 visits per year with UIC alumni and donors.
  • Collaborate with unit leadership, Advancement colleagues, faculty, and volunteers to develop compelling engagement opportunities and relationships with assigned prospects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years for Associate Director and 5 years for Director of proven experience in development or a related field preferably in an institution of higher learning.
  • Proven success in securing and conducting face-to-face meetings for major solicitations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, business development, organization, and computer skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive salary ($83,438 - $106,633) commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
