Job Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional academic surgeon to join our team at the University of California, San Francisco. As a full-time faculty member, you will contribute to our department's excellence in patient care, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care as a general surgeon, with expertise in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery for hernia repair and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
  • Develop and lead academic clinical programs, with a focus on healthcare systems and leadership.
  • Conduct research in surgical technology and health service research, with a focus on abdominal wall reconstruction and hernia surgery.
  • Teach and mentor surgery residents and medical students, with a focus on education and training.
  • Participate in departmental residency training and educational programs.
Requirements
  • Board certification in General Surgery.
  • Preferred: Fellowship in abdominal wall reconstruction/hernia surgery.
  • Leadership skills in healthcare systems and academic clinical program development.
  • Expertise in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery for hernia repair and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
  • Recognized skills in education and training of surgery residents and medical students.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $177,100 - $377,200.
  • Membership in the health sciences compensation plan.
  • Academic appointment in the Clinical X track.
