Appraisal Specialist

As a Property Inspector with Tyler Technologies, you will play a crucial role in gathering accurate property data for commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

• Conduct thorough site visits to collect data on property characteristics, square footage, and other relevant details.
• Verify property locations by associating information from field documents with maps and accurately record property characteristics.
• Measure and calculate square footage of commercial and industrial buildings, identifying special features and inspecting interior and exterior spaces.
• Take clear digital images of properties and gather cost and sales information, recording it on field documents or devices.
• Obtain income and expense information through verbal or written requests and update data on physical condition and grade of buildings.
• Maintain accurate personal production records, complete logs, and control forms, adhering to company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Safety Handbook.
• Communicate professionally with the public, representing Tyler Technologies and the client, and handle field questions and complaints in a courteous manner.
• Investigate properties, ask probing questions, and research multiple components to capture accurate property data.

• High School graduate or equivalent work experience.
• Real Estate, property appraisal, or building construction experience is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, solid problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or collaborate with team members, possess spatial abilities, and visualize floor plan footprints.
• Strong math skills, ability to travel to properties, and provide reliable transportation.
• Basic computer experience is preferred.
