Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Ocean Health Initiatives. As a key member of our Women's Health Department, you will provide primary care services to our patients, working collaboratively with our staff physicians, CNMs, and APNs to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage individual women's health patient care, ensuring continuity and quality of services.
  • Work collaboratively with all physicians and other providers to carry out the goals and objectives of OHI.
  • Provide continuing care to assigned patients, anticipating and recognizing deviations from normal, and initiating treatment as needed.
  • Order diagnostic tests, medications, and lab tests as indicated, analyzing and interpreting data to inform patient management.
  • Provide education and counseling for patients, families, and community groups on various health conditions.
  • Function as a member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, assisting with the development and implementation of clinic policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Support health center colleagues with internal referrals when clinically appropriate.
  • Collect and record patient information, ensuring all charts justify prescribed treatment and include findings, progress, and plan of care.
  • Provide medical care for all individuals without regard to ability to pay, race, color, origin, or creed.
  • Consult, guide, and direct medical support staff to ensure continuity and quality of care services.
  • Effectively complete all paperwork requirements for billing and medical records compliance.
  • Advise patients on good health practices, using effective clinical judgment in referring patients and receiving referrals.
  • Develop and implement goals and objectives to ensure high-quality, cost-effective clinical care.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Three to five years' experience at RN level in medical center, private practice, or long-term care setting.
  • Active State of New Jersey RN and Advanced Practice Nurse License.
  • Active State of New Jersey CDS and DEA License to prescribe and maintain controlled substances.
  • Certification by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • BLS for providers through the American Heart Association.
