Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Express Employment Professionals in Gastonia, NC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Routine Inspections and Repairs: Conduct regular inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and address potential issues. Perform preventive maintenance to reduce the risk of breakdowns and prolong the life of assets.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Utilize technical skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or other technical problems. Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Repair and Maintenance Tasks: Execute repairs on various systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components. Replace or upgrade faulty parts and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Equipment Calibration: Calibrate and adjust machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Keep accurate records of calibration activities to meet industry standards and regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations, such as power outages or equipment failures. Implement corrective actions swiftly to minimize disruptions.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive measures. Create and update equipment manuals and documentation.
- Education and Experience: Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
