Clinical Nurse Specialist

Stony Brook Medicine seeks a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering compassionate care. This role requires a RN license in New York State and at least one year of hospital acute care experience.
Responsibilities- Patient Care: Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and provide direct care when needed.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate care activities with other health disciplines to relate and integrate nursing regimens with treatment plans.
This role may involve exposure to infectious diseases, blood, body fluids, and/or tissue, as well as unpleasant elements such as accidents, injuries, and illness. You may be exposed to and required to handle varying unpredictable, emergency, and crisis situations. Occasionally, you may be subjected to irregular hours and pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries.
Requirements- RN License in New York State.
- At least one year of hospital acute care experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
