Position Overview:

Mayzon is seeking a dedicated Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. As a prominent provider of bathroom and household essentials, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of products including decorative storage solutions, shower accessories, and more.

Location:

This role is based in our New York, NY office, operating on a hybrid schedule with an expectation of 3-4 days in the office each week.

Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Sales to develop monthly purchasing strategies informed by customer insights and market trends.
  • Analyze sales data to gain a comprehensive understanding of customer preferences, utilizing this information to create effective product assortments.
  • Partner with sales and product development teams to ensure the alignment of visual merchandising and product offerings.
  • Coordinate with the pricing team to meet both internal and customer margin objectives.
  • Engage with overseas sourcing and merchandising teams to guarantee timely order placements and sample approvals.
  • Develop inventory replenishment strategies based on sales performance and demand forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in merchandising, marketing, or planning.
  • 1-3 years of experience in merchandise planning or buying is preferred.
  • Experience in home products is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Proficient analytical skills to identify opportunities and address business performance challenges.
  • Familiarity with retail metrics and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships across various departments.
  • A proactive mindset, flexibility, and multitasking capabilities are necessary.
