Role Summary:

The Project Manager is accountable for overseeing all assigned Blue Stream Fiber projects, managing budgets and timelines, and coordinating with vendors to ensure all deliverables are met. This individual will act as the primary representative for Blue Stream, addressing any challenges that may arise during project execution. They will proactively identify and communicate potential risks to project schedules and budgets, ensuring compliance with company policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all tasks, including contracting, design, equipment procurement, zoning, permitting, construction, and close-out, are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage external vendors and collaborate with internal teams to achieve timely project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and influence decision-making for leadership in all project-related matters.
  • Negotiate project costs and hold vendors accountable to maintain budgetary constraints.
  • Develop and adjust project plans, scopes, and budgets, ensuring thorough documentation and managing scope changes.
  • Lead deployment meetings with internal and external stakeholders to assess project status and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Travel to customer meetings to deliver comprehensive project updates and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain accurate project files and ensure timely distribution of closeout documents.
  • Ensure all projects are tracked accurately in the project management system and invoiced correctly.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management.
  • Experience managing project budgets or related financial oversight.
  • Familiarity with NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards.
  • Experience in customer-facing project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunications project management and construction practices.
  • Understanding of public and private right-of-way project deployment, including regulatory processes.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and contracts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
