About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS). As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and operating building systems within our client facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Inspect and maintain building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors to ensure high-quality results.
  • Predict and perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Review and estimate time and materials needed to complete repair tasks.
  • Maintain an energy management program to optimize system performance and reduce operating costs.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with clients and operations maintenance team members.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • A minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
  • Effective communication, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
  • Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Universal CFC certification preferred. Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
