Our Facility and Location
GSS IA George Comm Ctr, located in George, IA, offers a unique opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses to work in various locations within a 150-mile radius from home address.
Career Summary
This Travel LPN role involves providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement. As an LPN, you will have the opportunity to work in multiple settings, support residents' physical and psychosocial needs, and contribute to the assessment of residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
- Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide care as needed.
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
- Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
