Medline is seeking a highly skilled Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager to support our branches and ensure the optimal performance of our vehicle fleet. This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to our maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Fleet Services Manager to develop and implement maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and maximize fleet efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of our fleet to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with our maintenance vendors to ensure high-quality service and competitive pricing.
- Provide technical guidance and support to our maintenance teams, including training and development programs.
- Analyze and report on fleet performance metrics, including maintenance costs, vehicle utilization, and safety records.
- Develop and implement projects to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as transportation, logistics, or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and management, with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles.
- Proven track record of improving fleet efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with maintenance teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as needed.
- Diesel technical school degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- ASE certifications in engine repair, transmission repair, and brake repair.
- Volvo experience a plus.
- Commercial Driver's License Class A or B.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
