This role is integral to a collaborative team focused on the design and production of essential connectivity solutions utilized worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models, prototypes, and proof of concepts through rapid design iterations.
  • Contribute engineering insights to formulate NPI project plans and execute designated tasks.
  • Analyze industry trends and product developments to create innovative solutions.
  • Test designs and apply scientific problem-solving methods in new product development.
  • Conduct preliminary tests on prototypes and qualification assessments for new designs.
  • Review samples from manufacturing for quality approval.
  • Oversee and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration.
  • Support the production team with layout designs, operations, and calibration processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
  • Experience in R&D or product development projects as an active contributor is essential.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing various complex projects.
  • Proficient in designing and developing intricate plastic molded and sheet metal components and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to data communication products.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry standards and testing protocols.
  • Experience with automated testing equipment and systems is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in the project lifecycle from design to manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with effective teamwork capabilities.
  • Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or similar tools.
  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing technology is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Project.
