Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing tests and analyzing results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients using various medical laboratory procedures.
  • Correlate and integrate other patient data when interpreting test results.
  • Use professional judgment and have an in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific principles, quality control, and instrument maintenance.
  • Recognize problems, identify causes, and determine alternative methods and solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required or registry eligible and obtained within 1 year of hire date.
