The Shingle Springs Rancheria is seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for installing, modifying, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems, as well as providing technical support to our staff.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and procure hardware and software necessary to meet user requirements
- Install and configure hardware and software systems, including operating systems, networking components, and office applications
- Provide technical support to end-users, including telephone, in-person, and online assistance
- Coordinate activities with network services and information system groups
- Administer email and anti-virus systems, and maintain user network and building access accounts
- Connect users to networks and provide initial training in facilities and applications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Computing Sciences or equivalent, with at least two years of relevant work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Computing Sciences or equivalent, with four or more years of relevant work experience
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage difficult customer situations and respond promptly to customer needs
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality and safety
The Shingle Springs Rancheria gives preference to Native American candidates who meet the minimum qualifications. When two or more Native American candidates have comparable qualifications, preference is given to members of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, followed by spouses or domestic partners of members, parents of children of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, and other documented Native Americans.
