Radiology Nurse Specialist

Location: Various locations across the state of MichiganRadiology Nurses provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing radiologic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. Their expertise is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with radiologists and technologists to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments before, during, and after radiologic procedures to identify potential risks and develop effective care plans.
- Administer medications and prepare patients for imaging studies, taking into account their medical history and any allergies.
- Educate patients about procedures, address their concerns, and provide emotional support to alleviate anxiety and stress.
- Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to ensure seamless communication and coordination, promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and a nursing degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) are mandatory.
- Experience in radiology or a related field is highly desirable, as it demonstrates a deeper understanding of the complexities involved.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills are essential for making informed decisions and providing high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are vital for building strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
