Radiology Nurses provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing radiologic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. Their expertise is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with radiologists and technologists to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments before, during, and after radiologic procedures to identify potential risks and develop effective care plans.
  • Administer medications and prepare patients for imaging studies, taking into account their medical history and any allergies.
  • Educate patients about procedures, address their concerns, and provide emotional support to alleviate anxiety and stress.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to ensure seamless communication and coordination, promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all interactions, treatments, and outcomes.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license and a nursing degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) are mandatory.
  • Experience in radiology or a related field is highly desirable, as it demonstrates a deeper understanding of the complexities involved.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills are essential for making informed decisions and providing high-quality patient care.
