Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can provide high-quality care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
  • Obtaining and recording vital signs
  • Providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents
  • Assisting residents with meals and snacks, providing water and supplements as appropriate
  • Participating in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
  • CNA training and certification required and provided by facility

The Good Samaritan Society offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $17.00 - $25.50, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and more.
