Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the processing of Fetal Bovine Serum from Fetal Bovine Blood collected from JBS' beef facilities. This is a critical role in the production of high-quality serum for the scientific community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Fetal Bovine Blood into Fetal Bovine Serum
  • Work in a high-paced environment to establish a high-quality workflow
  • Ensure all work is traceable and completed in a timely and effective manner
  • Operate equipment such as centrifuges and autoclaves
  • Perform analytical reviews of product and interpret results
  • Handle Positive Controls and other potentially hazardous materials
  • Monitor equipment and perform maintenance tasks as needed
  • Generate and maintain documentation for product and process traceability
Requirements
  • High School Education required
  • Relative experience in a lab setting and/or agricultural experience preferred
  • Able to lift 50lbs, bend, kneel, and reach
  • Able to stand and walk for 8-12 hours
  • Capable of repetitive work and critical thinking
  • Experience with personal protective equipment and safety protocols
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work in a team environment
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working Tuesday through Saturday, 9am-5:30pm or until production is complete. The starting pay is $22.00 per hour.
