We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Clark Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Responsibilities- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Minimum Education: Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 10 days of hire, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 6 months of hire, Handle with Care within 6 months of hire.
- Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky or compact licensure.
Clark Regional Medical Center is a 15-minute drive from Lexington, KY, and offers a full-time work schedule with night shifts, 10+ hours per shift, and rotating weekends.
