About the Role

The Ashtabula County Medical Center is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and supplies
  • Pass instruments to surgeons during procedures
  • Assist with cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and operating rooms
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Surgical Scrub Technician program
  • Current BLS certification
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience, preferred

Working Conditions

The Surgical Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to blood and bodily fluids. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
