We are seeking a Lead Java Engineer with extensive experience in Confluent Cloud to contribute to our innovative projects.

Position Summary

This role involves a long-term contract opportunity that is fully remote. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java development, particularly with Confluent Cloud, and have a solid understanding of data streaming and integration technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to design and implement SAAS platforms and data connectors.
  • Manage a large-scale streaming architecture that delivers value across the organization.
  • Lead and execute projects while proactively addressing performance issues and ensuring quality.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Confluent Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of Kafka Connect, including custom connector architecture and security.
  • Proficient in KSQL for streaming and querying.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a core Java Developer.
  • Experience with various data sources and SAAS platforms.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Technical Skills

Expertise in the following technologies is essential:

  • Kafka and Kafka Connect for data streaming.
  • Database querying and performance tuning.
  • Administration of Confluent Kafka and management of streams and topics.
