Job Overview

Sebago Technics is seeking a highly skilled Land Surveyor to join our team. As a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's projects and contributing to the growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic surveys, including leveling, traversing, public land surveys, metes and bounds surveys, construction surveys, horizontal control surveys, State Plane Coordinate surveys, and as-built surveys.
  • Familiarize yourself with global positioning (GPS) and geographical land information systems (G/LIS) requirements.
  • Develop general knowledge of hydrographic, mining, and photogrammetric surveying principles.
  • Apply astronomical observations principles in surveying operations.
  • Coordinate and supervise fieldwork for various standard types of surveys.
  • Maintain accurate and organized field notes for standard surveying operations.
  • Operate hand-held calculations or microcomputer software to enter field data and produce positional information.
  • Locate control points in the field and interpret control point records and data sheets.
  • Apply general applications of CAD and coordinate design elements into final drawings.
  • Stay up-to-date with surveying ethics and technical standards, including MSPS, ALTA, NGS, ACSM, BLMS, and ASCE.
Requirements
  • A 2-year Associates or 4-year B.S. degree in Surveying/Surveying Technology is preferred.
