Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a key member of our Electrophysiology Lab, you will play a critical role in analyzing, diagnosing, and treating cardiovascular system disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Perform active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and saturations, anticipating changes during cases that indicate necessary information.
  • Routinely perform patient testing and/or monitoring, including oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, hemodynamic calculations, and other intra-procedure testing and resulting as applicable.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and variation of procedures, including equipment/supplies used for performance, and maintain asepsis.
  • Anticipate and adapt to physician and case needs, assisting with room setup, patient transport, and post-procedure clean-up.
  • Provide patient education regarding post-procedure monitoring and care of catheter insertion site, including instructions and information regarding activity.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology.
  • Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications preferred.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree required.
