Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the system analysis of the Wi-Tronix IoT hardware product platforms to identify opportunities for improvement and drive efficiency. This role will also be responsible for improving the automated test process to make it more efficient and optimized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Product Sustainability
    • Analyze legacy product test failures to identify real root causes and drive improvement
    • Analyze legacy product returns to identify real root causes and drive improvement
    • Develop standard fixes for legacy products and provide guidance to ensure production team delivers high-quality products
    • Update Troubleshooting tree to aid technicians in production and RMA
  • Automated Testing Optimization
    • Understand the current test and identify improvements to drive efficiency and reduce false failures or test result waivers
  • Team Mentorship
    • Mentor production and RMA technicians and leads in best practices, approaches, and processes
    • Collaborate with PD system engineering for identified improvement items to be captured on future NPIs
Requirements
  • BS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years' relevant experience in computer system and hardware (both HW and software)
  • Hardware experience is crucial with a working knowledge of software design
  • Using programming languages such as SQL, C, C++, C#
  • Familiarity with communication protocols including Ethernet, RS-232, RS485, and CAN
  • Experience with use of digital hardware analysis tools – Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers
  • Technology enthusiast demonstrated through work experience, hobbies, and/or education
Working Conditions
  • Ability to use hand tools and fine motor control ability to include pinching and twisting
  • Ability to visually identify subject matter
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to safely lift a minimum of 30lbs without assistance
  • Working conditions as found in a typical office location
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
