Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients and document vital information
  • Scribe information for the dermatologist
  • Provide post-operative wound care to patients
  • Draw blood and remove sutures
  • Clean and stock exam rooms
  • Schedule patient appointments
Assisting the Dermatologist
  • Assist with procedures such as surgical photographs, biopsies, excisions, and injections
  • Provide support for Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, phototherapy, and other dermatological procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum post-high school education in a medical support field
  • 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
