Responsibilities
  • Home Visits: Make regular home visits to clients in designated geographic territories to provide speech therapy services.
  • Evaluation and Treatment: Perform thorough evaluations to assess clients' speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties, and develop a treatment plan to address these issues.
  • Documentation: Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Education and Training: Educate and instruct patients, family members, or other patient representatives on rehabilitative care and activities necessary to promote clients' health, safety, and independent living.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Certification: Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or have equivalent educational requirements and work experience.
  • Computer Skills: Solid computer skills, with prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
