About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter Foreman to join our team at Robins & Morton. As a Carpenter Foreman, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled carpenters and ensuring that construction projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and schedules as related to work assigned.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules.
  • Plan and communicate with warehouse, purchasing, and supervisor to ensure an adequate supply of tools, materials, and equipment are available.
  • Inspect to ensure that correct construction procedures are followed, and work is in compliance with the plans and specifications. Point out deficiencies, explain, and take corrective action.
  • Monitor and report quantities of work accomplished on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Develop weekly work plans and monitor production.
  • Perform other job-specific duties and have basic understanding of scheduling, material control, and productivity management systems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) Preferred
  • Must be a highly qualified journeyman carpenter with at least 3 years' experience.
  • Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to read and understand plans and specifications and have ability to visualize two dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
  • NCCER Certification preferred.
