Job Summary

We are seeking a Seasonal Cashier to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Seasonal Cashier, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, helping customers shop our store, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Help customers locate products and provide solutions to meet their needs
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions
  • Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments as needed
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes to maintain a well-merchandised and in-stock store
  • Responsible for completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery
  • Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, promoting a positive image and serving as a role model for other Team Members
Requirements
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time, move throughout the store, and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
Work Environment

Our store is a public retail setting with climate-controlled areas, some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be assigned. The Frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
