Job Title: VP of Blockchain Engineering

Job Overview

The VP of Blockchain Engineering will lead the strategic direction and execution of Bjak's blockchain and stablecoin initiatives. This role requires a strong technical background in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and stablecoin development, as well as excellent leadership and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blockchain and Stablecoin Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for blockchain and stablecoin initiatives, aligning with the company's mission and business objectives.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead a team of blockchain and cryptocurrency engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security, integrity, and scalability of blockchain and stablecoin systems, collaborating with legal and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Research and Development: Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in blockchain and stablecoin development, conducting research to identify new opportunities for blockchain and stablecoin applications within the financial services sector.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate blockchain and stablecoin solutions with existing platforms and services, ensuring seamless interoperability between blockchain components and other technological infrastructure.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of blockchain and stablecoin systems to handle increasing user demands, implementing improvements and upgrades as necessary to maintain system efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years focused on blockchain development.
  • Hands-on experience with blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Corda), smart contracts, and cryptographic technologies.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in blockchain development tools and programming languages (e.g., Solidity, Rust, Go).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic and innovative mindset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
