Job Description

JobRialto is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in centralized Oracle database administration, including Oracle RAC, backup and recovery strategies, and good knowledge in OEM. Additionally, the candidate should have expertise in backup & recovery and migration using RMAN, Data pump, Snap and Clones, as well as Oracle database build using ASM / NSF on RAC/Non-RAC. Shell scripting experience and good experience in Linux are also required. The candidate should have working knowledge in Cloud Support and knowledge of Agile methodology. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing regular maintenance of centralized Oracle and distributed Yugabyte, Aerospike database, including backups, restores, data pump, archiving, and review of logs for errors or potential problems. Database creation, upgrade and patching, as well as regular review of space capacity and performance of tasks to manage space usage through archiving or increasing disk space are also key responsibilities. The candidate should be responsible for database monitoring, troubleshooting, participation in Disaster Recovery drills, and participation in on call support. Identifying and participating in automation opportunities is also a key aspect of the role. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with application owners/developers and/or technical staff. The candidate should be able to complete tasks and produce appropriate deliverables within project time schedules, and must be organized, self-motivated, and able to participate in the knowledge transfer to other team members. The candidate should also be able to work effectively with others in a team environment and carry work mobile and provide 24X7 Support, On Call Schedule participation. The candidate must document all work in ticketing system and manage tickets in their queue. The successful candidate will have experience with Exadata, ZFS, CommVault, and open-source databases.
