Position Description

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is looking for talented individuals to fill postdoctoral scholar roles (Levels L0-L5) for the academic year.

We are seeking candidates with expertise in the following areas of biomedical engineering:

  • Biomedical photonics/optoelectronics
  • Biomedical nano- and microscale systems/fabrication
  • Biomedical computation/modeling

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or biology, and possess experience in the specified research areas.

This recruitment is ongoing, and positions are contingent upon the availability of external funding. Initial appointments are for a two-year term, with renewal based on performance and funding availability. Note: The total duration of an individual's postdoctoral service may not exceed five years, including any postdoctoral service at other institutions.

Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, chemistry, or biology.
