QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or completion of academic and practicum requirements while pursuing certification

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • Accountable to the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, with potential guidance from the Director of Rehabilitation Service Line

PATIENT AGE RANGE

  • Serves patients in the following age categories:
  • Young Adult (18-25 years)
  • Adult (26-54 years)
  • Senior Adult (55-64 years)
  • Geriatric (65 years and older)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures personal and patient safety at all times
  • Exhibits excellent customer service and interpersonal skills consistently
  • Administers appropriate diagnostic assessment tools tailored to each patient's diagnosis and age
  • Creates individualized treatment plans based on evaluation outcomes and treatment recommendations
  • Delivers high-quality treatment aligned with the established goals in the treatment plan
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with departmental and hospital standards for both inpatient and outpatient services
  • Meets departmental productivity benchmarks
  • Records daily charges accurately and promptly according to departmental procedures
  • Engages in departmental and interdisciplinary efforts to enhance processes and clinical care
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
