Job Summary:
The Catheterization Laboratory Specialist will assist with the performance of imaging studies in the Cardiac Cath Lab, demonstrating critical thinking skills and judgment under the direction of the Cardiologist, Chief Technologist, or Director of Imaging Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform studies timely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
